- זְמַם, זְמָמָאch. sam(זמם II muzzle), also the camels ring or staff through the nose and the basket fastened thereto. Targ. Is. 37:29. Targ. Ps. 32:9; a. fr.Sabb.107a, v. אִיכּוּ. Ib. 111b, sq. קיטרא דקטרי בז׳ the loop which is made to fasten the camels basket to the ring; קיטרא דז׳ גופיה the (permanent) knot in the bit itself; v. אִיסְטְרִידָא.
